Pico came into our lives at only 8 weeks old, and brought us nothing but joy from the start. He taught us so many lessons and brought us closer together as a couple. Pico was a very scholarly boy, who learned to sit, stay, and lay down, as well as the commands “off”, “kiss” “no bite” and “go to rest”. He loved berries, carrots, and his morning Bocces Bakery treats, but Pico’s all-time favorite was peanut butter.

Pico was always nervous around children, but he did his best to face his fears. He learned to love his cousins Leo and Laila, and even allowed occasional pets from them. Pico always did his very best to listen to his parents like the good boy he was.

Pico was a master cuddler, and his favorite hobby was cuddling in bed with his parents. He mastered blanket nests, and would sternly stare at his parents on the couch when he was ready for them to join him in bed. As a morning ritual, he slowly scooted from Mom’s side to Dad’s side of the bed every morning once Mom got up for work.

Pico also enjoyed the time he got to spend with his parents, almost as much as they enjoyed their time with him. He loved sitting on his dad’s lap outside (or anywhere there was sunlight), and sitting in mom’s lap on the couch while she read. Pico loved to play with his toys, but strictly those that were either bigger than him, or squeaky.

Pico also loved spending time with non-immediate family members. He would run in circles and jump and while when we even mentioned going to grandma’s house. He would spend so many days with grandma, nana, and grandpa and he was beloved by them all.

We loved Pico more than we can put into words, and we felt his love reciprocated every day. Our hearts are hurting without him but we are so incredibly grateful for the 9.5 short but joyous years we had with him. We would not be the same people without having had him in our lives.

We will love Pico furever.

We all know how much Pico meant to you both. He knew he was loved and he loved you both back. I know you’ll miss him.
