Ms. Katniss graced us with her presence for 20 years. She was a beautiful calico cat with a curiosity that could sometimes get her in trouble. She had a maternal instinct and ability to sense when we needed extra purr time to lift our spirits. She had a magical ability to disappear into any nook or cranny, sometimes for hours at a time- I believe she teleported to other dimensions on multiple occasions! She was a devoted mother to her son, Hugo, often grooming and cuddling him. I do love remembering the chariot races she would have with him when they were both in full zoomies mode. I also remember her being mesmerized by the spin cycle on our top load washing machine (with a clear lid) on more than one occasion She insisted on drinking from red solo cups for the longest timeeventually she got used to a water fountain I will miss her grooming my hand red raw on more than one occasion – im sure she thought I did a terrible job of grooming myself. She was sassy, intelligent and beautiful and we miss her dearly. We were fortunate to have had her with us for as long as we did. Rest In Peace Sweet Pea. We love you always Ms. Katniss.
