My dearest Bastian, I’ve had the honor of being your “Moonchild” for 3 years. I loved you more and more as I watched you grow up along with your siblings. Ornery, and affectionate, You were always by my side, or on my shoulders, … or on my head. When I was sick you comforted me, when I was sad you nuzzled me. I may have needed you more than you needed me. I’ll miss our naps, and your random pounce attacks. You left us far too soon, but I know that it’s better, there, where you are now. I’ll see you again one day, save a cat-nap for me, and I’ll bring the catnip. I miss you so much.
