Benji was the light of my heart. I got my Benji when he was just a Baby. I was 16 years old at the time and he was just precious sweet little puppy! I can still remember his little puppy cries like it was yesterday. we had very strong bond that made us inseparable that I never had with any other dog!

when I first got Benji I was told ” that dog ain’t staying here! ” and I said ” well if my dog got go then I’m going too! ” and that’s exactly what I did. over time my family grew attached to my Benji Boy and adored him.

Benji was always cuddling with me and enjoyed being underneath the covers when cuddling with me and always underneath my feet. I remember when he was recovering from bad ear infection I was waking up and my Mom was telling me ” Benji standing beside you looking up for you. ” and sure enough I look down I see him looking up at me wanting my attention so I scooped him up in my arms cuddling with him.

he got protective of me as our bond grew stronger and he use to try protect me from anyone he saw hurting me and he couldn’t stand seeing me upset and he would jump up on the couch to cuddle with me to try comfort me! he almost took this woman hand off for trying pick him up while cuddling next to me while I upset because he didn’t want leave my side when I was upset and I was in shock for revealing how much Love he had for me and Benji did comfort me a lot times when I was sad and in my darkest hours.

when I was in my late teens and early twenties Benji use to have me and my family chasing after him running off alot times trying get him out the main streets being stubborn as usual. his personality was something else, he was stubborn and would pull these jerk moves that made us laugh like pulling one the dogs from underneath the table when they were playing. It was like he would do certain things too because he knew it would make us Laugh. he brought alot happiness and laughs to me and my family and memories that will carry on.

his favorite things he liked to do was sun bathing and going for walks or the dog parks, rides and being underneath the covers cuddling!

when I first moved in with my husband of course I had to take my Benji with me because that was my Baby and my husband just Loved him and adored him just as much I did. when my husband first met my Benji Boy he was attacking my husband hand trying to play and he was laughing and I was laughing and my husband asked me ” what is he doing? ” I said ” that’s his way of playing. ” my husband use to share apples with Benji and Benji loved it. my husband also use to bring my Benji Boy on rides picking me up from school.

everyone that knew me very well knew how much my Benji Boy meant to me so Benji knew everyone and he got all kinds of Love from everyone. unfortunately as he got older his health got bad however he still had alot fight in him and going strong and then the last three years of his life it got worse because of his arthritis. he just wanted to sleep at his old age and eat. I always let my Benji knew how much we loved him and he knew that he was still Loved because we how much we cared for him. he was still attached to me at his old age following me around underneath my feet. we will all miss him dearly! In his last days my family came to say their Goodbyes to Benji because my family knew Benji and he got very spoiled in his last days. we will cherish every moment we had with him. Benji my light.
