8/24/25 I took my boys to the pool. Zach and I were having so much fun together. It was such a wonderful day. We came home, put on our comfy clothes and went to get Chester out of his cage. (He was a free-range house bunny) Usually he’d run to the cage door, so excited to see us, but he didn’t come to the door this time. He was laying in the back of his cage; he couldn’t get up. I grabbed him and his body was cold a limp, and I was so scared as Zach was standing there crying because he knew something wasn’t right. He was still alive but was dying. I wrapped him in his bunny blanket and handed him to Zach and called my mom (the bunny expert) she prepared me for Chester’s death and prepared Zach We believe he had cancer, and his body was so weak and since he’s a predator animal he didn’t show any major signs of sickness or pain. Chester was the best bunny a boy could have, he was more like a dog than a rabbit. He and Zach played hide and seek together all the time. Chester loved cuddles with his boy and bunny pets on the head. He was Zach’s comfort and support; they were best buddies. My heart is completely Heartbroken at the loss of Chester the Dragon bunny, as Zach called him. Days aren’t as happy without our Chester.
RIP- Chester Cheeto The Dragon Bunny. We love you so much.
